In British-controlled Aden in 1965, a unit of Royal Military Police officers is caught up in the effort to suppress a Yemeni fight for independence. Alongside the soldiers, their wives and children face the pressures of life in a tense outpost, where politics, love and war shape daily choices and test the bonds of family, duty and loyalty.
