Lucifer Morningstar grows tired of being the dutiful ruler of Hell and leaves his throne behind for life on Earth. Settling in Los Angeles, the City of Angels, he tries to understand humanity while working alongside LAPD detective Chloe Decker to bring criminals to justice. But the longer Lucifer stays away from the underworld, the more dangerous his absence may become.
