In 1960s Portugal, at the height of the Cold War, the small village of Gloria do Ribatejo becomes caught in a web of political intrigue. Joao Vidal, a young engineer, is recruited as a KGB spy and drawn into high-risk espionage missions with stakes that reach far beyond his town, threatening to influence both Portuguese and world history.
