In the 1970s Southwest, Navajo police officers Leaphorn and Chee investigate a grisly double murder, searching for clues in a case that tests more than their detective skills. As the investigation deepens, both men are forced to confront their spiritual beliefs while reckoning with painful trauma from their pasts.
