In an isolated mountain village in 19th-century Macedonia, a young girl is kidnapped and transformed into a witch by an ancient spirit. Raised apart from ordinary human life, she enters the world with a strange innocence and a dangerous power. After accidentally killing a peasant, she takes the woman’s shape and discovers a consuming curiosity about what it means to live inside the bodies and lives of others.
