In the Land of Oz, Elphaba has long been judged and misunderstood because of her green skin. At Shiz University, she is forced to share a room with Glinda, a popular aristocrat whose life seems very different from her own. As the two form an unlikely friendship, an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz puts their bond under strain and begins to shape the paths that will define them.
