In a small American village, an encounter with an unknown life form leaves the town’s women mysteriously pregnant. Nine months later, the babies are born looking completely normal, and the shaken families try to accept what has happened. But as the children grow, their cold behavior and strange presence make it clear they are not human, and may have no place for human feeling.
