After escaping a life of poverty, Vesemir becomes a witcher, hunting deadly monsters for coin and building a reputation on glory as much as skill. His work offers freedom, danger and reward, until a new menace begins to rise. Forced into a fight unlike the ones he knows, Vesemir must confront not only the threat before him, but the painful demons of the past he tried to leave behind.
