In the near future, two inmates are condemned to spend their lives doing hard labor on a distant planet. One is an aging convict who has been serving his sentence alone, cut off from Earth and from the life he once knew. When a new prisoner arrives, the fragile routine begins to break down, forcing both men into paranoia as memory, identity, and the past become harder to hold onto.
