In the small town of Rockwell, Maine, in October 1957, a nine-year-old boy discovers and befriends a giant metal machine from outer space. As their bond grows, the robot becomes the target of a paranoid government agent determined to destroy it, while the town’s fear and suspicion threaten to turn a strange visitor into an enemy.
