In a desert dystopia, Arlen is exiled to a fenced-off wasteland where survival is uncertain and danger is close at hand. After she is kidnapped by a group of cannibals, her struggle leads her into the harsh world beyond the fence. Along the way, she becomes involved in the search to reunite a missing girl with her father.
