Socially awkward and environmentally conscious, teenager AJ has little interest in joining her painfully normal family on a trip to a coastal holiday park. Stuck in a place that feels far from her world, she keeps her distance until Isla, a chlorine-smelling, sun-loving lifeguard, catches her attention in an unexpected way.
