Avery Watts, the manager of an Inglewood community center, is trying to keep the facility open while raising his young daughter. To win the prize money that could save it, he recruits Shelby, a gifted basketball player, and brings together top female streetballers for a high-stakes tournament. Along the way, they confront local politics, gang pressure and the stereotypes surrounding them.
