Norman Bates is running the Bates Motel when Maureen Coyle, a troubled former nun with a resemblance to Marion Crane, arrives looking for a place to stay. She is joined by a drifter and a curious reporter, drawing new attention to the motel and to Norman’s fragile state. As Norman grows attached to Maureen, “Mother” remains a watchful presence, and her jealousy threatens the uneasy calm.
