In turn-of-the-century New York City, young newspaper sellers struggle to survive on the streets while working for powerful publishers. When Joseph Pulitzer pushes them further in pursuit of more profit, the boys organize a strike to demand fair treatment. Their stand for change soon brings them up against the harsh tactics of big business.
