In near-future Berlin, a mute bartender is drawn back toward violence when the woman he loves disappears. With few ways to make himself understood and a troubled past behind him, he begins searching the city for answers. His hunt leads him into the teeming underworld, where gangsters and criminals stand between him and the truth about what happened to his missing partner.
