Two miles beneath the surface, a crew of nine Appalachian miners is trapped after a methane explosion cuts them off underground. With only one hour of oxygen remaining, they face a desperate fight to stay alive in the darkness, relying on each other as the danger around them grows and every breath brings them closer to running out of time.
