After a mysterious alien creature escapes from NASA agents, he crosses paths with a young boy who uses a wheelchair. The boy befriends the frightened visitor, known as MAC, and helps protect him while they search for the family he has been separated from. As danger follows close behind, their unlikely bond becomes MAC’s best hope of finding his way back to his own kind.
