In 1983 communist Poland, the country is shaken by the case of Grzegorz Przemyk, a high school student who is beaten to death by police. As public attention grows around the killing, the only witness to the beating is singled out by the authorities and turned into the state’s chief enemy, exposing the pressure and fear surrounding the case.
