Terry grew up remembering his grandmother’s wacky fairy tales as bright, cheerful stories filled with balloon kingdoms, dopey police dragons and happy wizards. But when the world from those stories turns out to be real, it is not quite the playful place he imagined. The familiar wonders are still there, only now they come with a reality that is far less cheerful than the tales made it seem.
