A religious, conservative businessman from Michigan is shaken when his teenage daughter runs away and disappears into California’s pornography scene. Determined to find her, he leaves the familiar world of the Midwest for the darker corners of Los Angeles, where his search leads him through an underworld he never imagined, and into the desperate reality of the films she has become involved in.
