In a distant fairy tale countryside, Gretel leads her little brother Hansel into a dark wood as they search desperately for food and work. Lost and hungry, the siblings come across a mysterious woman who seems to offer them a way out of their misery. But in accepting her help, they move closer to a terrifying evil hidden within the forest.
