A dysfunctional gang of criminals targets a middle class Maori family and takes them hostage, expecting control of the situation. But the captors soon learn they have badly misjudged their victims: the family hides a far more dangerous secret. As the criminals lose their grip, the hostage situation turns into a grim fight for survival when they discover the people they chose to threaten are cannibals.
