A husband-and-wife team of eccentric scientists artificially creates Adam, a modern-day monster meant to be their perfect creation. When they leave him for dead, he enters a world that greets him with aggression and violence. Disfigured and alone, Adam struggles to understand what he has become while facing the brutal and horrific nature of humanity.
