After blowing his first acting job, Erwin is left stranded in Texas with nowhere to turn. He is taken in by Merle, a nearly bankrupt oil driller, and Merle’s cohort Faye. Together, the unlikely trio chase one last chance to strike oil, trying to outmaneuver the bank and a corrupt oil company before Merle’s dream is foreclosed.
